Ted Davis Appointed as New President

The InterWire Group, Inc., Armonk, New York announces the appointment of Ted Davis as President of IWP. Ted brings over 30 years’ experience with the manufacturing, development and management of specialty wire products, having worked for many of the wire industry’s leading companies. Ted’s responsibilities will include product development of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, and both bare and electroplated wire products across multiple industries, including the aerospace, electronic, consumer, medical, automotive, and communication markets. “Ted’s extensive sales and marketing management experience coupled with his operation and manufacturing knowledge and his product development skills will help maintain IWP’s leadership role in the wire industry,” said Frank Cardile, CEO of IWP. The InterWire Group, Inc. is the largest distributor of high quality, specialty wire in the United States, with eight distribution centers nationwide. InterWire was founded in 1981 by Frank Cardile and is headquartered in Armonk, New York.

New General Manager for InterWire California

Charlie Simonet has been appointed General Manager of IWP Cailfornia. Charlie, who was originally from New Jersey, now resides in Orange County, Califorina. He has been in the insulated wire and cable business for over 30 years, working in recent years as a Director of Sales for a large German-based control cable manufacturer. He also was as a partner in a wire and cable distributor specializing in the automation and robotic industries that sold through industrial electrical distribution throughout North America.

New Operations Manager for InterWire Midwest

Tom Howlett has been appointed as operations manager for IWP’s Midwest division. Tom is a Chicago native and a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee. He was with Industrial Steel & Wire for the last 25 years. Tom brings extensive knowledge of the wire business, having managed almost every aspect of the company in one form or another from sales and purchasing, to a recent stint as operations manager.

New Territory Manager for InterWire Midwest

Tim Kurtz has been appointed Territory Manager at InterWire Products Midwest. Tim brings with him over nine years of technical and sales experience in the steel industry. Previously, he was employed by A.M. Castle, where he increased sales and profit in a variety of Midwest locations. Also, while at Castle, Tim was recognized for generating the largest revenue for new customers, including several one million dollar plus accounts. Tim has a BBA in Finance and completed his MBA last spring. He is married with two boys and enjoys hiking and playing golf.
