Flat Wire. Flat wire is produced by rolling process from where the precise round wire size needed to produce the finished size is flattened through a series of cold rolling mills. During this process the steel increases in width and length as thickness is reduced. Many different types of edges can be produced in flat wire. The most common is a natural rolled round edge but we can also offer full rounded or blended edges or square edges with  sharp or rounded corners. IWP offers all types of carbon steel grades C-1006-1080, non ferrous, stainless steel, chrome silicon, chrome vanadium and other alloys on request. InterWire also offers flat wire as rolled condition, bright, annealed, galvanized, oil tempered and scaleless tempered. Flat wire can be packaged on spools, reels, coils and cores.

Shaped and Square Wire. Shaped and square wire can be produced by rolling or Die Drawing. A rolled shaped product is rolled from a special roll with desired shape or angle ground in to the surface of roll. This process can have a roll not only on the top and bottom of the wire but on the sides as well. Many rolled shaped wires are commonly produce by a combination of rolling and Turks head

Shaped and square wire can also be produced by a Die Drawn process in which the round wire is drawn through a series of Dies to produce the desired shaped. A Die Drawn process offers a more precise shape with closer +/-‘s tolerances which are needed for critical applications such as torsion springs. All shaped wires are produced to customer specification and prints.

Shaped and square wire can also be packaged on spools, reels, coils and cores. Material can also be straighten and cut to length. Like flat wire shaped and square wire can be provided in all types of carbon steel grades fro C1006-1080, non ferrous, stainless steel, chrome silicon, chrome vanadium and other alloys on request.
